The leak was identified at a privately owned fire hydrant located at a data center managed by Athlon BT, an El Reno-based technology firm specializing in facilities for artificial intelligence networking, cloud computing, and Bitcoin mining.
During their investigation into the leak, El Reno city officials uncovered multiple code violations at the Athlon BT facility. These violations reportedly included severe drainage problems and expired building permits. Neither Athlon BT nor El Reno officials have responded to requests for comment.
