Hundreds of electricians, including workers who traveled from Idaho and Virginia, lined up outside the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers office in Midtown Memphis to pursue jobs at data centers across the Mid-South. The turnout reflected the high wages associated with the construction and electrical work tied to the region’s expanding data center industry.
