The Little Rock Board of Directors declined to advance a proposed six-month moratorium on large data center projects during its Oct. 20 meeting. The measure failed on a 4-4 vote, with one director recusing themselves.
The proposal followed an 18-month moratorium introduced in August by City Director Kathy Webb. Had it passed, the ordinance would have paused new hyperscale data center projects in Little Rock for six months while the city considered the issue.
