Dismang group owns land adjoining AVAIO data center site in Wrightsville
A real estate investment group that includes former Arkansas state Sen. Jonathan Dismang owns 46.4 acres bordering AVAIO's planned $6 billion data center near Wrightsville. Dismang said the land purchases were unrelated to the project and that he had no contact with AVAIO about its site selection or future land deals.
Whitwell, Ryles, Dismang LLC owns 46.4 acres adjoining AVAIO's planned data center site west of Wrightsville. The group purchased two additional parcels for $1,600 in July, while AVAIO paid more than $7 million for 291.6 acres for its project. Much of the investment group's property lies in a floodplain, according to Federal Emergency Management Agency records and a site plan filed with Pulaski County.
Dismang, who recently resigned from the Arkansas Senate to join the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp., said he was a minority partner and had no role in the land purchases or AVAIO's decision to locate there. AVAIO has announced a $6 billion facility expected to be operational by 2028, with more than 1,000 construction jobs and about 70 permanent positions, but the company currently has no plans to acquire additional land from Dismang's group.
