The Hanover County Board of Supervisors narrowly voted to deny the massive Mountain Road Tech Park data center campus after hearing hours of testimony from developers and residents.
"A vote to deny Mountain Road is a vote to save Hanover," one resident told supervisors during public comment on Wednesday, May 27.
The proposed campus would have covered nearly 430 acres near Mountain Road and Route 33 -- roughly the size of 325 football fields.
