Alderman Dan Dieringer addressed the Town of Trezevant Board of Aldermen, warning of the threats posed by data centers, including significant water and power consumption, as well as noise pollution. Dieringer, who attended a previous Carroll County Commission meeting where a one-year moratorium on data centers on county property was approved, emphasized that this county-level action does not protect individual towns.

Alderman Mark Argo, who works with the Trezevant Water Department, confirmed that the town's water infrastructure could not support a data center's demands. Dieringer also noted that data centers create minimal local jobs. He urged the board to quickly develop and pass an ordinance to regulate data centers before companies begin to target Trezevant. Despite Dieringer's appeal, no motion or vote was taken, leaving the responsibility to the board to propose an ordinance in the coming months.
