Yorkville council to consider data center agreement changes
The Yorkville City Council is scheduled to consider proposed changes to existing agreements for two data center projects. These changes involve modifying the layout for a proposed CyrusOne campus and altering the construction order for the proposed Cardinal Data Center, the latter under a previously approved settlement.
The Yorkville City Council is slated to convene on Tuesday at Yorkville City Hall to review modifications to existing agreements concerning data center developments within the city.
Among the proposals is a revised layout for a planned CyrusOne data center campus situated near Eldamain and Faxon roads. This adjustment includes a reduction in building sizes and an updated site plan. Additionally, the council will consider an amendment for the proposed Cardinal Data Center, located off Route 47 and Baseline Road. This change would alter the sequence of the project's construction, a condition previously established through a settlement agreed upon by the city, the developer, and a plaintiff. The agenda also includes other city matters, such as establishing a dormant special service area for the Fox Haven development and approving funds for city-owned property improvements.
