The Hallam Village Board approved a permit Monday for Monolith’s proposed data center, clearing the project to proceed in the Lancaster County village. Monolith CEO Russ Webb has discussed the proposal with residents at a town hall.

Crusoe, a Colorado-based clean-energy company, would build the facility and has pledged to invest money in Hallam. The project is modeled on a smaller Crusoe data center in Reno, Nevada.
