Kentucky Rep. Adam Moore of Lexington is organizing a public listening session at the Capitol Annex in Frankfort to gather concerns about data center proposals across the state. The session follows months of conflict in several communities, where residents have expressed opposition and urged state officials to establish stronger protections before development accelerates.
Moore said he hopes public participation will pressure lawmakers to act in 2027. He supports revoking sales tax credits for data center developers and establishing ratepayer protections so households are not forced to absorb the cost of increased electricity demand. The session is open to the public and is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
