The Joint City-County Planning Commission, overseeing the zoning process under Kentucky law, has engaged consultant Reese True to advise on critical aspects such as water and wastewater management, groundwater protection, power demand, infrastructure capacity, and environmental impacts. The Barren County Land Use Committee, comprising five citizen members and two magistrates, is tasked with guiding the ordinance's creation and is scheduled to meet on August 20th at the Luska J. Twyman Municipal Building in Glasgow to continue discussions. The ordinance remains in draft form, with further revisions expected as public input is gathered.
