Community meeting set for planned Tyler data center

A community meeting is scheduled in Tyler, Texas, to discuss a planned 12-megawatt data center by Barrio Resources LLC. A community meeting has been scheduled for Monday evening to discuss a proposed 12-megawatt data center in Tyler, Texas. The facility, planned by Barrio Resources LLC, is intended for a site at 1101 and 1105 W. Erwin Street, which is currently zoned as a light industrial district.

Barrio Resources LLC, which acquired the property in 2024, is seeking a special use permit from the City of Tyler. The proposed data center site is located near an Oncor power substation.

In addition to the community meeting, the city's planning and zoning commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 7, at 1:30 p.m. at Tyler City Hall to further deliberate on the data center proposal.
