Meet Notes of Dissent, the protest band that grew from a scream into the void

Notes of Dissent, a protest marching band, formed in Denver, Colorado, after Alix Farley put out a call on Reddit. The band aims to build community and support activist organizations across the state, utilizing music to fuel crowds at protests and connect people. The band has established chapters in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs and recently traveled to Walsenburg to support a community town hall. In Walsenburg, a small southern Colorado town, activists are organizing against a proposed federal immigration prison. In addition to this, a Utah-based company, BluSky AI, purchased 36 acres of land north of the town, leading to concerns among residents that a 'water-guzzling AI data center' could be constructed in the area.
