Massive $280M data center to break ground this year in Central Texas
A $280 million data center, named "Colovore Hutto," is set to begin construction in Hutto, Texas, this December. Developed by California-based data center operator Colovore, the 200,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed by December 2028. It aims to provide AI colocation infrastructure near Austin's tech corridor.
Colovore, a California-based data center operator, has announced plans for a new $280 million "Colovore Hutto" data center in Hutto, Texas. The facility will be located at 2401 Innovation Blvd., approximately 27 miles north of Austin, and is slated to begin construction on December 1, with completion expected by December 2028.
The project involves a 200,000-square-foot facility, significantly larger than two standard H-E-B stores, and aims to provide high-density, liquid-cooled colocation infrastructure for AI applications in the burgeoning Austin tech corridor. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation confirms the project details.
Notably, the new data center will be situated next to a Hutto Crossing site that is potentially being developed into a manufacturing campus for Jeff Bezos' aerospace company, Blue Origin, at the same address.
