In the Pflugerville and Hutto areas of Texas, local government and community developments include an update on a withdrawn data center project and ongoing water infrastructure issues.
Previously, residents of Hutto had organized a press conference on April 16 to voice their opposition to a proposed data center. Following this community action, the developer, Zydeco, subsequently withdrew its request for the project.
Separately, the water level of Lake Pflugerville is reported to be continuing its rise. This increase comes after multiple breaks occurred in the city's Colorado River pipeline.
