Hermantown rescheduled its City Council meeting to Oct. 30 after canceling the previously planned meeting. The agenda retains six resolutions, and attendance will be capped at 85 people because of fire-safety limits; the overflow room will remain closed, with residents directed to participate virtually or submit written comments.

Sarah Lofald of Stop the Hermantown Data Center said opponents believe the city has ignored concerns about Google's proposed data center and has not provided an accessible venue for public participation. The group also alleged the city could violate open-meeting laws by holding the meeting in the current location. City Councilor Andy Hjelle criticized a prior protest, while opponents said residents had a right to speak and observe the proceedings. The city did not respond to requests for comment.
