This approval moves the project closer to a formal water service agreement. Pacifico has until November 30 to pay a legal deposit and until February 28 to finalize the agreement.
The Aqua Water Supply Corp. board has approved large-volume water service for a significant 2,842-acre data center and power development proposed by Pacifico Energy Development LLC in Cedar Creek, Texas. This decision, made on September 1, advances the project towards a formal water service agreement.
According to Hollye Fain, Communications Director for Aqua WSC, Pacifico Energy Development LLC is required to submit a $3,500 legal deposit by November 30 to proceed with the creation of a Non-Standard Service Agreement. This agreement will outline the specific terms and responsibilities for water provision to the development.
A deadline of February 28 has been set for Pacifico to enter into the finalized agreement with Aqua WSC. Failure to meet this deadline could result in the loss of the approved resolution and the associated feasibility study. Fain noted that it remains the board's discretion whether the negotiated agreement will require further review and approval at a future meeting.
