Prometheus Hyperscale spokesperson Eric Schlidt provided updates on the company's proposed data center in Converse County, Wyoming, aiming to alleviate public concerns regarding water consumption and power infrastructure. Schlidt explained that the facility will utilize a closed-loop cooling system, designed to recirculate a fixed amount of water and glycol, thus minimizing continuous draw from local water sources.

The developer also plans to establish an independent natural gas power generation system on private land owned by billionaire Russell Gordy, addressing the inadequacy of Rocky Mountain Power's existing infrastructure to support such large industrial projects in east-central Wyoming. This on-site power generation is also intended to protect local ratepayers from potential increases in electricity costs.

Responding to criticisms about a lack of transparency often leveled against data center developers, Schlidt and company founder Trenton Thornock emphasized Prometheus Hyperscale's commitment to community engagement. They are in the process of developing legally binding community benefit agreements with affected communities, tailored to local needs, to ensure the project delivers tangible benefits. The workforce hub for the construction phase will be located in Natrona County, and discussions with potential tenants for the data center are ongoing, with an announcement expected in the future.
