Fayette County commissioners in Washington Court House, Ohio, are scheduled to vote on a resolution for a one-year moratorium on data center development within unincorporated areas of Concord, Green, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Paint, and Perry townships. The proposal, which would halt data center zoning applications, approvals, and building permits, has been twice delayed since it was first floated ahead of a September 8 meeting. During that earlier session, residents voiced opinions on the issue, leading to further discussion postponements.
The board's Monday agenda also includes authorizing amended agreements for the L-H Battery plant, a joint venture constructing a battery facility near Jeffersonville. Additionally, commissioners will discuss county employee health plans and consider a roofing contract for the Commission on Aging building.
