Keller community pushes back against Westlake's planned data center

Residents of Keller, Texas, are voicing strong opposition to a data center approved in the neighboring city of Westlake. The planned facility, slated for approximately 80 acres near Highway 377, is situated just 500 feet south of Keller's Marshall Ridge neighborhood.
The City of Westlake confirmed that factors such as power, water use, and noise were considered during the approval process. However, Keller residents contend that their community was not adequately considered by Westlake officials. One resident stated that the project was "completely snuck on us by the City of Westlake without any sort of, you know, consideration for their neighbors."
Residents are now urging Keller City officials to outline plans for either fighting against the project or collaborating with Westlake to address their concerns.
