Caldwell County residents holding Data Center talk

Residents in Caldwell County, Texas, are organizing a community meeting this Sunday to discuss the growing presence and impact of data centers in the region. The event, titled "Data Center talk," will be held at Two Wishes Ranch in Lockhart and aims to educate the public and empower them to engage with their legislators on the issue. Pat Stroka, an organizer of the event, emphasized the importance of informed discussion amidst local concerns. He hopes attendees will learn about data centers and identify constructive next steps for community action. Caldwell County Judge Hoppy Haden is scheduled to speak at the meeting as a special guest. A spokesperson for Caldwell County clarified that while Judge Haden was invited, the county is not organizing the event. The spokesperson also confirmed that the county commissioners had previously approved development agreements for two separate data center campuses within Caldwell County during meetings held on April 9 and April 23.
