Oracle representatives informed Doña Ana County commissioners that while Project Jupiter remains committed to an off-grid power solution using Bloom Energy fuel cells, the data center project could seek power from a grid provider, specifically El Paso Electric, if its on-site system fails to secure an air-quality permit from the New Mexico Environment Department. Commission Chair Manuel Sanchez noted that a shift to grid power would necessitate discussions with the commission and potential amendments to the project's industrial revenue bond and community benefits agreements, which were structured around on-site power generation to avoid strain on the local grid. Oracle emphasized that any future grid connection would aim to lower existing customer rates.

The company also provided updates on the project's progress, including 26% construction completion and current employment figures, with a significant number of New Mexico and Doña Ana County residents working on site. Bloom Energy representatives highlighted the environmental benefits of their fuel cell system, projecting substantial reductions in various emissions compared to a combustion-based system. Additionally, Oracle announced a partnership with Arable to implement sensor-based irrigation practices, aiming to conserve 20 times the water required for the data center's cooling and power systems. The update session included extensive public comments from both supporters and opponents of the development.
