Walla Walla County officials have accepted Amazon Data Services' land-use application for a new data center campus, moving the project into its next phase of review. The proposed Amazon Attalia Data Center Campus, a multi-million-dollar development, is planned for a 134-acre site within the Wallula Gap Business Park, approximately 1.4 miles east of Highway 12.

The project includes plans for three 220,000-square-foot data center facilities, a security building, an industrial water facility, and infrastructure for a future utility substation. Walla Walla County Community Development Director Melissa Shumake confirmed that the site development permit and environmental review applications contain sufficient information to proceed.
