Stop Archbald Data Centers co-founder ends 112th District write-in campaign
Tamara Misewicz-Healey, co-founder of Stop Archbald Data Centers, has withdrawn from her campaign for the 112th state House District. She stated her decision was to allow her to focus entirely on opposing hyperscale data center projects and the associated power infrastructure growth in Northeast Pennsylvania.
Tamara Misewicz-Healey, co-founder of the activist group Stop Archbald Data Centers, announced the cessation of her write-in campaign for Pennsylvania's 112th state House District on Monday. Misewicz-Healey, an Archbald resident, gained local recognition for her advocacy against proposed data center developments in the region. She was running against incumbent Democratic state Rep. Kyle Mullins and Republican challenger Joseph J. Sabia Jr.
In a five-minute Facebook video, Misewicz-Healey explained her decision to withdraw, stating a need to dedicate her full attention to data center issues. She highlighted the proliferation of hyperscale data center proposals in Northeast Pennsylvania and concerns regarding the extensive power infrastructure required to support this industrial expansion. Misewicz-Healey emphasized her belief that her efforts are most critically needed "on the ground, right now," to address what she termed an "emergency situation" concerning the rapid industrialization.
