A significant data center project, previously known as "Project Jade" and located approximately eight miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been unmasked as a massive Google campus. Cowboy State Daily's Renee Jean reported that planning documents reveal Google's intention to develop a 716-acre campus within the Sweetwater Grass Industrial Park.

The facility is initially planned for 2.7 gigawatts of power capacity but has the potential to scale up to 10 gigawatts, positioning it as one of the largest data centers globally. The identity of the company was verified through recent filings with Laramie County Planning and Development after suspicions had circulated for some time. Google's arrival is not expected to be the last, as Cheyenne already hosts 10 existing tech locations, with five more under construction and nine in advanced discussion stages, according to Cheyenne Leads.

This development underscores Wyoming's growing importance as a hub for large-scale data center operations.
