Opposition to data center development remains active in Franklin County, Virginia, despite the rejection of Project Flash. Resident and real estate agent Penny Hodges cited potential noise, vibration and property-value impacts, while Franklin County Community Coalition Vice Chair Christine Sizemore called for stronger development guidelines.

Board of Supervisors Chair Lorie Smith said the county has no active data center proposals, but Supervisor Dan Quinn opposed bringing currently unzoned areas under additional zoning controls. Residents nevertheless plan to continue pressing officials for safeguards before another proposal emerges.
