He first mentioned that American Electric Power projects $16 billion in cost offsets for its customers due to their data center contracts. In Iowa, Trump stated that Alliant Energy's data center deals are enabling the company to freeze electric rates for consumers for at least five years.
Finally, he pointed to a $27 billion Meta project in Richland Parish, Louisiana, which is providing public school teachers with up to $50,000 in bonuses this year, while also saving local residents $2.6 billion on their electricity bills. Trump contrasted this with potential local opposition, suggesting that "smart people" appreciate the economic advantages these projects bring.
