Reno group rallies against data center development #thisisreno #datacenters #news

A group of northern Nevada residents gathered in downtown Reno to voice opposition to data center development in the state. Ward 1 Against Data Centers hosted the event at Believe Plaza, where participants raised concerns about data centers’ resource use, surveillance technology and the influence of large technology companies. One participant argued that Nevada, as a desert state, does not have the resources to sustain continued data center development and said the issue is becoming increasingly polarized.
