Construction has commenced on PAX-1, a massive $15 billion data center campus situated in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The project, poised to become one of the largest of its kind in the state, encompasses a 700-acre site off Country Club Road. The development plan includes 18 large housing units designed for data storage. Current activities involve intensive construction work, such as blasting and excavation, which are scheduled to continue for two weeks. The site's infrastructure development will also feature the construction of a new PPL substation to support the energy demands of the facility, leveraging its proximity to existing major power lines.
