Fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547), owner and operator of a data center at 1 Ramland Road in Orangeburg, New York, has completed the third phase of its five-year expansion plan. The colocation facility is now fully leased and operating near full capacity, with additional expansion opportunities actively being pursued. The 232,000-square-foot facility boasts 24 MW of critical power capacity and has added approximately 14 megawatts of incremental capacity since its acquisition in 2021.
The company plans further growth, including a 12-megawatt utility feed under development and a pre-approved site for an additional 230,000-square-foot building supported by a planned on-site 60-megawatt substation. Demand for the Orangeburg facility is primarily driven by financial services firms requiring ultra-low-latency connectivity to Manhattan.
Concurrently, data center development in Orangeburg has faced controversy. Residents and utility ratepayers have attended planning board meetings to express opposition to the expansion of DataBank's Orangeburg facility, located on nearby Corporate Drive.
