Palmyra transfers funds in 2026 budget, discusses 2027 rough draft budget
Palmyra Borough Council discussed developing data center zoning regulations and amendments to Chapter 380 of the borough code. No data center has been proposed for the former ASK Foods plant, but the facility’s planned shutdown prompted council members to consider establishing rules in advance.
Palmyra Borough Council is considering data center zoning regulations and possible amendments to Chapter 380 of the borough code. The discussion followed the announced shutdown of the ASK Foods plant at 77 N. Hetrick Ave., although Vice President Marcus Riddell said no data center proposal has been submitted for the site.
Council requested guidance from borough solicitor Josele Cleary, RETTEW, which serves as assistant zoning officer, and zoning and codes enforcement officer William Garber II. The data center discussion occurred during a broader meeting focused primarily on budget transfers, the 2027 preliminary budget, public works needs and other borough regulations.
