Charlotte neighbors unsure about proposed data center

Questions are mounting in east Charlotte after plans were submitted to rezone roughly 60 acres near Hood Road for a proposed data center. The site sits just south of Plaza Road Extension and adjacent to established single-family neighborhoods, prompting concerns from residents about long-term impacts on infrastructure, energy demand and quality of life.
