Meta Platforms Inc. has announced a significant increase in its investment for a data center project in El Paso, Texas, raising the commitment to over $10 billion. This figure marks a substantial jump from the previously projected $1.5 billion, underscoring Meta's escalating focus on developing infrastructure to support its artificial intelligence initiatives. The company stated in a blog post that the gigawatt-sized data center is anticipated to become operational in 2028.
