The company associated with "Project Anthem" has rescinded its rezoning application for Phase 2 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to the City of Tulsa. This decision follows closely on the heels of the Tulsa City Council's approval of a moratorium on new data centers. A city spokesperson indicated that the company is currently evaluating its options, suggesting that Phase 2 development might still be considered in the future.
The withdrawal occurred less than a week after the moratorium's approval, preempting a scheduled vote by the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on the rezoning application, which was set for April 1.
Concurrently, Beale Infrastructure, a company linked to a separate proposed data center project in Coweta, also withdrew its own rezoning application on the same Monday.
