'Hit pause': Pennsylvanians rally behind data center moratorium

Hundreds of Pennsylvanians gathered at the State Capitol Tuesday to support a proposed three-year moratorium on new hyperscale data centers. The rally focused on Senate Bill 1359, introduced by Katie Muth, which would temporarily halt the permitting and construction of new data centers and related power infrastructure across the state. Supporters said the pause would give communities time to better understand the potential impacts of the rapidly growing industry.
