Mifflin County township moves meetings to accommodate recent larger crowds

Granville Township is moving two upcoming meetings to a larger event center because of increased attendance related to a proposed data center off Loop Road. The proposal remains under consideration and will receive a hearing before the Granville Township Zoning Hearing Board on Oct. 26.

Granville Township announced that its Nov. 9 and Dec. 14, 2026, meetings will be held at the Granville Fire Co. Event Center rather than the township building to accommodate larger crowds. The increased attendance is linked to a proposed data center off Loop Road.
The proposal has drawn both consideration and opposition in the Juniata Valley. A hearing before the Granville Township Zoning Hearing Board is scheduled for Oct. 26.
