A proposed data center project located southeast of Gardner, Kansas, is no longer moving forward, according to an announcement from the City of Gardner. The developer, Beale Infrastructure, has withdrawn its application for the project.
The city indicated that it had informed Beale Infrastructure that it would not be granting any incentives for the construction of the data center. Following this decision from the city, Beale Infrastructure opted to withdraw its application. The proposed development was reportedly planned to encompass 16 buildings spread across approximately 300 acres.
The project had faced significant pushback and opposition from residents living near the intended site.
