Armadillo to add workforce housing for data center contractors
Armadillo Workforce Housing is expanding its modular workforce housing fleet, with its largest expansion planned for Pecos, Texas. This initiative aims to accommodate the growing demand for housing from data center contractors across Texas and New Mexico. The company will also deploy new mobile units directly to remote construction sites.
Armadillo Workforce Housing, a division of Armadillo Hotel Group and a portfolio company of Centerboard Group, is significantly expanding its modular workforce housing fleet. The company aims to meet the increasing demand for accommodations from data center contractors, with its largest expansion slated for Pecos, Texas.
The expansion will add to Armadillo's existing inventory, which includes over 1,000 private bedrooms in its rapidly deployable platform and more than 5,000 rooms across Texas and New Mexico. In addition to bolstering its established facilities in Pecos, Odessa, Big Spring, Big Lake, and Orla, Armadillo plans to acquire new mobile units for deployment directly at remote construction sites. Michael Maloney, president of Armadillo Workforce Housing, stated that this strategy is designed to address the rapid pace of data center development, providing essential support to keep workforces productive and focused.
