Eugene rejects data center proposal at former Hynix site due to zoning

The City of Eugene rejected a buyer's proposal to build a data center at the former Hynix plant site in west Eugene. In a Sept. 8 letter, the city determined the data center described by the buyer is prohibited in the site’s E-1, or Campus Employment, zone.
