Cortlandville To Discuss Data Center Moratorium, Solar Laws Movement Expected

The Cortlandville Town Board is slated to discuss a resolution next month regarding the implementation of a moratorium on data center construction. This potential action follows a board meeting where Supervisor Gregory Leach and Deputy Supervisor David Donlick were present. At the same meeting, the board voted to extend existing temporary moratoriums on the acceptance and approval of solar energy systems and battery energy storage. This extension was prompted by a year of complaints and environmental issues that necessitated further action from the town.
