In a recent meeting at the Grady County Courthouse, Grady County Commissioners declined to impose a moratorium on a proposed data center near Amber. This decision comes despite ongoing concerns from local residents regarding the development.
Aligned Data Centers acquired the 800-acre site in July, fueling continuous discussions at town, county, and rural water district meetings where residents have consistently voiced their opposition and worries about the project.
Former Amber Mayor Craig Parham was noted to have addressed the commissioners during a special meeting on September 8th, highlighting the community's engagement on the issue.
