Peach Bottom Township moves forward with data center rules ahead of any site proposal

Questions are mounting in Peach Bottom Township as officials move forward with an ordinance regulating data center development, despite no formal proposal being submitted. Residents filled a township workshop Tuesday night, many raising concerns about a project they say they have only heard about through rumors and public statements outside their community. Township leaders confirmed this was their fourth workshop since January, part of an effort to draft rules that would govern any future data center before construction begins. “It was nice to be able to get the public’s input early on,” said Planning Commission Chairman Wes Carter.
