Lebanon County officials have expressed concerns regarding a proposed data center development in South Anvil Township, Lebanon County, due to the presence of a bald eagle nesting site nearby. Developers plan to construct five data center buildings on 100 acres along Mount Pleasant Road and Route 422. Lebanon County Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz noted that a pair of eagles are nesting on the property. Although developers have reportedly set aside 15 acres to protect the eagle habitat, Commissioner Litz fears that the overall development will displace the birds and potentially violate the Federal Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. She is urging South Anvil residents to voice their concerns about the eagles during the next township meeting scheduled for May 13.
