Gov: Lebanon County, South Annville Township
Residents of South Annville Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, recently protested a proposed data center development by "Inc and company." Main organizer Michael Schroeder highlighted that opposition to data centers transcends political divides, focusing on "preserving the integrity of our communities." The planned data center, spanning nearly 100 acres with five buildings ranging from 110,000 to 250,000 square feet, is described as looking like a warehouse from the outside. Despite the developer's hopes to be "good stewards of the community," residents expressed strong concerns. One local resident described the proposed buildings as "monstrous cities" that would negatively impact their "beautiful little town" and bring "pollutants," emphasizing that while she isn't anti-data center, South Annville Township is not the appropriate location for such a development.
