The event, titled "No Data Center on Cayuga Lake: A Public Presentation," is scheduled for Thursday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca. Organizers state that the presentation will cover general data center impacts and specific concerns related to the proposed facility.
Attendees will receive educational materials and information on how residents, business owners, elected officials, faith communities, and local organizations can get involved in the issue. Samuel George, a Bear Clan leader and Sachem of the Cayuga Nation, will deliver opening remarks. Representatives from various local organizations will also be on hand to provide additional information and answer questions.
