The Cullman City Planning Commission's meeting on September 1 saw the withdrawal of Ordinance No. 2026-42, an agenda item that proposed to prohibit data center development and operation within city limits. Cullman City Clerk Wesley Moore requested the removal for "additional time... needed for review."
Planning Commission Chairman Michael Sullins informed attendees that no official action or vote could be taken due to a lack of a quorum. This proposed ordinance follows the Cullman City Council's Resolution No. 2026-116, adopted on June 22, which imposed a temporary moratorium on data centers. The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for October 6.
