Over 15 individuals spoke against the project, with "No Data Center" signs visible throughout the community. Kaitlyn Cooper, a horse farm owner whose property is across from the proposed annexation site, warned that the data center would threaten her saddlebred training facility and business, stating that the two entities cannot coexist. The CEO of Shaker Village also voiced concerns about potential long-term community consequences.
Council Member Sindicat Dunn acknowledged the residents' comments, noting that the council is considering all aspects of the situation. Dunn suggested that placing the decision directly in the hands of Burgin voters is one option being explored, emphasizing that each resident should have a say.
