The Lansing Economic Area Partnership and Lighthouse Sustainability announced a plan to explore a potential data center at the Holt Economic Opportunity Park in Delhi Township, but no formal application or end user has been identified. The township has an active 12-month moratorium on data center reviews, while nearby residents have raised concerns about noise and the site's proximity to homes.

The Lansing Economic Area Partnership and Lighthouse Sustainability announced a community-first planning process for a possible data center on 423 acres at the Holt Economic Opportunity Park in Delhi Township. LEAP President and CEO Bob Trezise emphasized that the announcement outlines a process rather than a formal project, with no application filed and no end user identified. The proposed framework would include environmental standards, a community benefits agreement, a $20 million community investment fund, and a residential solar and battery program.

Delhi Township Manager Tracy Miller said the Township Board approved a 12-month moratorium on data center reviews in April and that township officials were not involved in or informed about the announcement beforehand. The organizations said they would respect the moratorium and conduct community engagement, but nearby resident Nicole Blumhart questioned whether the site should be characterized as industrial and expressed concern about potential 24-hour noise from a data center.
