The Abilene Planning and Zoning Board voted Tuesday to recommend that the City Council approve a zoning change and Conditional Use Permit (CUP) on Elmdale Road for a proposed 945-unit RV park intended to house workers for the Shackelford County “Vantage” AI data center. During that meeting, several residents who have lived in the area for a while voiced concerns about the impact nearly 1,000 new neighbors will have on their lives.
