
Pacific P&Z Commission supports data center moratorium

The Pacific Planning and Zoning Commission in Pacific, Missouri, unanimously voted to recommend a twelve-month moratorium on new and ongoing data center development. The decision was made during a well-attended meeting on Tuesday, July 14, where approximately two dozen residents were present.
More than half a dozen audience members spoke out in favor of the moratorium. They also supported an amendment that would tie future zoning designation changes to annexation into the city of Pacific, indicating local concerns about uncontrolled development.
