Victoria County commissioners accepted a letter from the Crossroads Builders Association urging the county to take a proactive approach to recruiting data center businesses. The association cited the county's available land, power grid, transportation corridors and potential economic benefits, including private investment, tax-base growth and high-paying technical jobs. Commissioners took no action on a specific data center proposal.
The court also approved a $50,000 cash bond agreement with Hyfuels Green Lake Wind LLC and Zelestra Energy for potential road repairs related to construction traffic from the Crossroads Wind Project. The meeting included recognition of local election workers and approval of several county expenditures and infrastructure-related items.
